this is part of the reason why i cling to religion in my own misshapen way.
atheism isn't enough to operate as a functioning human being. we all need constructed realities.
the ones afforded by religion are the only ones we can't be
100% certain are made up.
i lack the credulity that the alternatives oblige.
of course, there is nihilism left, but i was never a bedwetter, nor a teenage afficianado of black nail varnish, so that's kinda out for me too.
