Re: Elton John

Elton John is a tremendous songwriter, musician, and live performer IMO. I've always liked his songs and i've belted a few out at karaoke over the years as well !. I have to say I prefer his seventies and early eighties output though, some of his latest stuff is a bit duff. However, he has been writing songs and performing live for 37 years, so it says a lot for him that he is still writing and performing at this stage of his career.

I've seen him three times, once at the Playhouse in the mid-eighties which was really good, once at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in 2004 which was absolutely awesome, and of course his superb gig at the Leith San Siro in 2005. The Easter Road concert was excellent. Great party atmosphere, and a terrific show enjoyed by everyone who was there.
