I would much rather we kept him but Whittaker is bound to have very itchy feet with the wages that his pals (deeks, thomshun and broonaldo) are now on. They all broke through to the first team at the same time. In young Kevin McCann we have a very able replacement and IMO an actual better defender than Whittaker.
I think Beattie would be a good signing. Still, a bit of a long shot us paying 1 million.
