Just wondering if any bouncers could give me some advice on costs in canada, im going for 3 weeks and am planning on staying/eating as cheaply as possible. Im doing a bit of travelling (toronto-montreal-boston and back) how do-able is all of this and what sort of budget should i be looking at? Is it possible on under a grand?

Toronto, you might find the cheapest destination to fly to.
Highway 401 between Toronto and Montreal is about around 4-5 hours drive. It's not the most interesting drive and I'd probably suggest looking up a train for around $125., (especially if you're going in the winter) Flying is a possiblity too for a similar price but the airports are a little out of town so factor in your cab prices.
With the good exchange rate right now, you can expect some of the regular prices you pay to be around half price - a pound for a dollar. This would include the important stuff like rooms, petrol etc. I'd say a grand would take you a fair way over there if you're smart about it and go at the right time.
