1 ps = 75 kp·m/s = 735.49875 W = 0.9863201652997627 hp (note the kp/ms)
Hence 1 PS is smaller than 1HP, and there for it is determined that the Bugatti only has c.996BHP, which occurs at the flywheel, therefore, through the complexity of its 4 wheel drive system the actual power at the wheels is less still, at c.960BHP.
The true marvel of the Bugatti is the gearbox - weighting just over 1kg, and yet still being capable of harnessing that amount of power is a work of not just engineering genius, but miraculous.

A hoy hoy wee man (until you stand up anyway)!!
A good point well made I'll say, since I don't have the mental ability to argue with anything maths/engineering-wise.
The whole car sounds like a work of genius, I wonder if it would be physically possible to out-run the police in one (bearing in mind you'd have to do something to give the police 'copter the slip).
