The Australia Branch of the Hibs Supporters Association is an official branch of the supporters association and was formed in 1987.

It currently boasts close to 150 members Australia wide (and the odd few in New Zealand), but we are the first to admit that there are literally hundreds, if not thousands more Hibbies down under.

It is our aim to bring EVERYONE who is of a Hibernian persuasion together under the one umbrella, and have embarked on a membership drive in an attempt to welcome everyone into the family.

So, if you are in OZ and are not a member, or if you have family or friends who may be in Australia or New Zealand who may not be members, please drop Fred Legget a line with contact details (email or snail mail addos)at.. australianhibs2006@hotmail.com………. and he will get in touch with them and INVITE them to join up.

Membership is absolutely free – this is about uniting the Hibs community Downunder together, not about collecting money!

These are exciting times for Oz Hibs supporters, with Hibs legends Pat Stanton and Jimmy O’Rourke having accepted invitations to visit Australia for our 20th anniversary celebrations scheduled for February 2007.

So once again, if you know of any Hibbies in Oz who may not be members of the Oz branch, just forward their details to Fred Legget at ……………………..

We may not be able to make it to many games, but together, we’ll continue to do our best to keep the Hibs flag flying, even if we are so far away from home.
