'Morning,
Many thanks for your e-mail. Nick will be back in training tomorrow so I will pass your message on to him then.
It's great to read what a fine ambassador he is for his profession. Players of Nick's attitude are worth their weight in gold.
By the way I must admit a passing admiration for the Hibees. I remember watching them in 1973-74 (I think) at Elland Road when Eddie Turnbull was their manager. They had some fine players including John Blackley, Des Bremner, Eric Shaedler, Alex Cropley, Alex Edwards and Pat Stanton.
They should have beaten Leeds. Unfortunately all the clear cut chances fell to Tony Higgins and he kept missing sitters. As I recall Leeds went up to Easter Road and got through. Was it on the away goal rule after a 1-1 draw?
Anyway, ever since that day I watch for Hibs results with a special interest. Given the admiration you and your colleagues have for Nick please be assured that if you ever want to come to Yorkshire to visit us at Oakwell and watch Nick in action for his new club you'll be very welcome.
Best wishes,
David Walker'
