A new feature on the Hibeesbounce is ‘Fan Interview’. Simply just a Hibee answering the questions below. First to take a shot at is hibbychubbs from Portsmouth.

Q – How long have you been following Hibs and what was your first game? (If you can remember)
For at least 42 of my 47 years. I remember always supporting them at primary school.

Q – What are your most memorable moments as a Hibernian fan? Good and Bad.
Memorable has to be the Hibs 0-7 game as it was my first ever derby match. The bad is definately every time Hibs get knocked out the Scottish Cup, no matter who it’s against.

Q – Since you have been following Hibs, what would your best eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?
In no particular order or formation.
Goram was the best goalie I saw in a hibs top closely followed by budgie.
Schaedler, a great no nonsense player with a brilliant attitude.
Brownlie came back from an horric broken leg & was always solid & dependable.
Latapy who was a fantastic wee guy who was always a joy to watch.
Stanton, no-one could leave out ‘Mr Hibees’.
Gordon Durie, I always liked ‘jukebox’ as he scored some great goals & always worked his socks off.
Gordon Rae, always gave blood & guts for the Hibee cause so he has to be in the squad.
George Best (even when drunk) the guy was past his peak & he was still amazing to see.
McNamara, I always liked Jackie mac for the simple reason he done his job & done it well.
Blackley, a great captain & tackler.
Archibald made football look easy by making the ball do all the work.

Gordon hunter great player & scored a couple of great goals.
Paul Kane for that winner against the yams.
Does Albert Kidd count? Purely for scoring against the yams.

My favourite player would definately need to be Pat Stanton

Q – What would you say is the best goal you have seen a Hibs player score?
Keith wrights header in the semi finals in 1991. Ohh how lovely that goal still is to me.

Q – Best and worst away ground visited?
The Best is St James Park (Newcastle) because it was my 1st trip to a ground in England and I was amazed at the size of the place. It made all the ground in Scotland look ancient.
The worst just had to be boghead (Dumbarton). The times I went there it lived upto its name. A truly sh**hole of a place

Q – Which player(s) would you like to see us sign (realistically)?
If it was possible I would love to see Ivan Sproule return to hibs I can just imagine him speeding down the wing & feeding riordan with loads of goal chances.

Q – All seater stadia. Good thing or a bad thing?
Bad thing, as I grew up in the era of mainly standing. I don’t think you can beat the atmosphere of standing. I mean doing the Hibeesbounce with seats in the way is just not right.

Q – What are your thoughts on how the Hibees did last season and how did it compare to your expectations?
It was a very dire season but to be fair the Hibs have had worse seasons in my time, Hibs performed well below my expectations. I hoped for at least a top 4 finish & 2 good cup runs.

Q – What are your expectations for next season in the Scottish Premier League?
With all the positive things Yogi is saying I am very hopeful of a minimum of a top 4 & at least a good cup run.

Q – What League position will we occupy at the end of the 2009/10 season?
If we don’t win it I would love to see us split the smelly bigots so 2nd would be nice.

Q – What’s your opinion of the new Hibs manager John ‘Yogi’ Hughes?
I am liking all the positive things he’s saying and feel he can deliver us success if not this season then certainly in the future. I just hope our fans give him time to turn things around.

Q – Where do you sit in the Leith San Siro?
Sadly living in ‘Costa Del Pompey’ I don’t get to games, but if I were to have a seat it would be in the East.

Q – And finally. If there was one member of the Bounce you could team up with to manage Hibs, who would it be and why?
For me it would have to be Smurf. Simply because if he can manage the team the same way he writes about it on the bounce we’d be a great team. In my opinion. GGTTH.
