Hibs sign Goalkeeper Graeme Smith

The Hibees today announced that goalkeeper Graeme Smith has agreed to join the Club following his release from Coca Cola league one team Brighton & Hove Albion.

The keeper joined Albion from Motherwell, under the Bosman ruling last summer, but he has slipped down the pecking order in recent weeks, following the arrival of Peter Brezovan.

Active Nation Scottish Cup 4th Round Draw

Irvine Meadow landed the big tie they wanted when they were paired with the Hibees in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. The Ayrshire team became the first Junior side to beat league opposition in the competition’s history when they beat Arbroath 1-0 on Saturday.

Miller named Player of the Month

Hibees new signing Liam Miller has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Player of the Month for October.

The midfielder, formerly with Celtic and Manchester United, helped Yogi’s team stay unbeaten last month and scored the first goal since his move north from Sunderland in the 2-0 victory over Aberdeen at Easter Road on October 31.

Yogi and Deek are the Clydesdale Bank Premier League manager and player of the month for September.

Hibs recovered from a horrendous 2-0 defeat by Hamilton to win their next two league outings, with Riordan on scoring against both St Johnstone and Motherwell.

John Hughes has boosted his midfield options by agreeing a two-year contract with former Celtic midfielder Liam Miller.

Hibs gaffer John Hughes admitted his interest in signing former Celtic and Manchester United midfielder Liam Miller.

28-year-old Miller is currently without a club after he was released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season.

David Van Zanten, JJ and Patrick Deane released

Alongside Joe Keenan and Jack Wilson being released from their contracts on the 31st August. Hibs released Jonatan Johansson, Patrick Deane and David Van Zanten just before the transfer window deadline. All were released from their contracts by mutual agreement.

Hibs to face St Johnstone in Co-op Cup

Hibs will face St Johnstone, following today’s Co-operative Insurance Cup draw at Hampden Park this afternoon.

The tie will take place on Tuesday 22nd September at 7.45pm. Adults £15, Concessions £10.
