Yogi interested in Liam Miller

Hibs gaffer John Hughes admitted his interest in signing former Celtic and Manchester United midfielder Liam Miller.

28-year-old Miller is currently without a club after he was released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season.

Benji off to Egyptian champions Al-Ahly

Benji’s career at Easter road appears to be over after Egyptian champions Al-Ahly claimed they had signed the Moroccan international striker on a 3 year deal worth around £500,000.

Pictures have appeared on the Egyptian club’s website of Benjelloun shaking hands with officials, but a spokesman for the Easter Road side said permission had given to the player to secure a new club, on the condition that the agreement suited all parties according to The Scotsman website…

Rob Jones leaves Easter Road

Rob Jones completed a move from Easter Road to Championship side Scunthorpe United.
The 29-year-old defender signed a three-year deal with the newly promoted side for an undisclosed fee on Wednesday night.
Jones met with Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins yesterday and agreed terms for his spell at Glanford Park.
Jones told the Scunthorpe official website, “It feels great to sign for Scunthorpe United”, “It’s nice to be back in England and in an area which I’m familiar with after my time at Grimsby.

Yogi snaps up McBride from Falkirk

Hibernian have confirmed the signing of midfielder Kevin McBride on a free transfer from Falkirk.
Skysports.com revealed that McBride had agreed to follow former Falkirk boss John Hughes to Hibs following the end of his Bairns contract.
McBride is understood to have secured a two-year deal at Easter Road and is relishing the chance to play for Hibs.

O’Brien freed as Hughes cull continues

Hibs have made a surprise announcement by revealing that left winger Alan O’Brien’s contract has been terminated to let him explore other career opportunities.
The Republic of Ireland international has never managed to win over the fans at Easter Road but his release has still come as something of a shock as his contract still had 2 years to run.

Clarets sign Fletcher

Burnley boss Owen Coyle has strengthened his strikeforce by snapping up Hibernian’s Steven Fletcher for a club record £3million transfer fee.
The 22-year-old Scotland international has agreed a four-year deal at Turf Moor after scoring 51 goals in 189 appearances for the SPL side.
Fletcher has represented his country on four occasions, the last being the Euro 2008 qualifying victory against Iceland in April.
